WHITE, GRACE MILLER.
1868-1957.  Name at birth: Mary Esther Miller.  She adopted the name Grace around 1897 in honor of her younger sister Grace, who died within a year of birth in 1873.  Her first husband was Homer White; she later married Friend H. Miller, an attorney in her home town of Ithaca NY.  Early in her writing career, the author specialized in novelizing plays, many of them crime-related.  Thanks to Victor Berch, the following constitutes a complete rewriting of all of her books that fall into that category.
This list excludes four books in the (Revised) Crime Fiction IV which are not play novelizations, but these novels are mentioned in a profile of the author’s works you can read on the Mystery*File blog.  Many more cover images can be found there as well.
Grace Miller White later became well known as the author of such romance novels as Tess of the Storm Country (1909) and From the Valley of the Missing (1911).   The links lead to an online etexts for each book.  Thanks also to Elaine Perry, who provided us with much information about the author’s life.
